What if the oncoming dystopian rise of the machines is… funny? Skynet Theatre Presents is an answer to that question.

An AI machine learning script will generate never-before-seen character monologues inspired by audience suggestions, which will then inspire improv scenes performed by humans.

Perhaps we will achieve a new understanding between organic and synthetic life. Or maybe just some really confusing scenes about dogs. The AI loves dogs.

Sunday, September 25th at 6pm at the Magnet Theater! Tickets are only $8!

“I am not worried that the lost jobs of the AI-pocalypse will lead to a mass of people with no way to meaningfully contribute to society, however I am worried about the AI-pocalypse leading to people’s real, meaningful, contributions going unacknowledged and uncompensated.”

“When we say that our machines can render us irrelevant we are buying into a suicidal ideology that has the dark allure of a martyr operation. … This particular breed of lethal passive despair is one of our period’s major moral vices. … We don’t lack gusto because our life is inherently not worth living, we actually lack conviction and self-esteem because we are lying to ourselves.”
